A standout student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Saheed Niyi Azeez, has publicly criticized the institution after it spotlighted his achievement on social media platform X.
UNILAG had posted a photo of Saheed, a final-year Mechanical Engineering student, applauding him for successfully building an AI model.
In response, Saheed called out the university, questioning why they would celebrate his academic accomplishment online while failing to provide him with on-campus accommodation.
He sarcastically asked if the school expected him to “squat while schooling.”
His exact tweet: “You put me for your website but you no give me bedspace.
Make starboy dey squat abi?”
He later tweeted: “I dey fear with that my tweet, I no want school wahala abeg”
