A group of women in Rivers State have openly rejected the wife of the current state administrator, accusing her of impersonation.

They also disallowed her from addressing them at a public event.

The incident occurred during a visit by Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, to the state.

As is customary, the wife of the state’s leader was expected to deliver a welcome address before the First Lady’s speech.

However, the event took a dramatic turn as several women in the crowd vocally opposed her presence.

Chanting in protest, the women demanded the return of their elected governor. One woman declared, “We want Sim. If it is not Valeria, we don’t want anybody else.”

Another visibly enraged protester shouted, “Who is that impostor? Ibas’s wife is addressing Rivers women. Who is she? Madam, pack your load!”

The women insisted that they only wanted to hear from Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, rejecting any attempt by the administrator’s wife to speak. One of them said, “She should go to Calabar and collect First Lady. We want Sim—not tomorrow, today!”

They stood up and started filing out of the venue.
