The parents of a baby mauled by a dog at Dabrin School, located along Ago Palace Way in Okota, Lagos, have accused the school’s proprietress, Mrs. Uchejiofor, of intimidation and trying to obstruct the course of justice.

The incident, which took place last year, left the child with severe injuries.

In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, media personality and humanitarian, Aunt Landa, confirmed the latest developments.

According to Landa, Mrs. Uchejiofor allegedly stated that she would not be appearing in court on Wednesday, April 30, citing a lack of readiness as they are still gathering evidence.

Landa also revealed that the child had been vomiting blood since that morning.

Earlier, the school reportedly claimed the child’s injuries were caused by another pupil, but medical reports have since confirmed that the wounds were consistent with an animal attack.

Aunt Landa wrote on her Instagram page:

“According to Baby Mikel’s Parents, since January 31st, 2024, when their baby was assaulted, the proprietress of Darbrin School, Mrs. Uchejiofor, has insisted there’s nothing the affected family can do.

Today, baby Mikel vomited blood. See video above…

Despite serious allegations, pictures of the injuries, and all of the proof of a dog in the school premises.. the case is yet to be charged to the court…

Where are the original medical reports from Green Life Hospital?

Where is the evidence collected by Ago Palace Police Station?

The Parents say that the child received three injections, and they didn’t know what the third injection was…

According to the mother, baby Mikel cries, chokes, and makes strange bark-like sounds at night. Why?

When we @auntlandasbethelfoundation on behalf of the family pushed for justice, we were promised court appearance tomorrow.. Wednesday 30th of April 2025.

Instead, we were told this afternoon that they can’t charge to court anymore, and they had to send to DPP.. and we should wait until next week because of public holidays.

Is this not another delay tactic because we have been patient and quiet?

The Ministry of Quality Assurance finally shut down the school on Friday after a mediation session two weeks ago where the proprietress was laughing.

Instead of progress in our pursuit of justice, baby Mikel’s family say they face threats… The proprietress, her brother, and someone claiming to be a Reverend Father snuck into their house .. According to the family’s report.. after that visit.. Mikel’s father fell ill…

Enough is enough. This child is still suffering. The system has stalled long enough. We are calling on mothers. On every Nigerian, we demand justice. Not silence. Not threats. Justice.
