More than 100 individuals suspected of being in the United States illegally were arrested during a raid on an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs.
The late-night operation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain Division, took place early Sunday and resulted in the detention of 114 undocumented immigrants from a crowd of over 200 people inside the venue, which was located in a strip mall.
According to the DEA, authorities discovered illegal drugs—including pink cocaine—along with firearms and evidence of prostitution during the raid.
“What was happening inside was significant drug trafficking, prostitution, crimes of violence,” said Jonathan C. Pullen, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA’s Rocky Mountain Division.
“We seized a number of guns in there,” he added during a Sunday press briefing.
Former President Donald Trump reacted to the raid on social media, calling it a crackdown on “some of the worst people illegally in our country—drug dealers, murderers, and other violent criminals.”
He warned of dire consequences if stricter immigration policies are not enforced, urging the Supreme Court to act decisively.
The operation also involved U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and the Colorado Springs Police Department.
