The family of legendary Juju musician, Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade (KSA), has debunked circulating rumours about his alleged disappearance, assuring the public that the music icon is “safe and sound.”
The clarification comes after Damilola, one of KSA’s daughters, took to social media to raise concerns over his whereabouts, alleging that her brother Dayo, who also serves as the musician’s manager, was keeping him hidden against his will.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family, Dayo dismissed the claims as “malicious” and aimed at damaging the veteran artist’s reputation.
“We want to make it clear that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound. The kidnapping claims are entirely false, and we are taking steps to uncover the source of these unfounded rumours,” the statement read.
Dayo further reassured the public, saying, “King Sunny Ade, the King of World Beats, has not been abducted or held by anyone.”
He added that both the Adegeye family and KSA’s team are committed to safeguarding his image and putting a stop to the misinformation.
Fans were assured that the Juju legend remains in good health and is focused on his music and enduring legacy.
