Davido’s fans allegedly beat up lady for mocking singer with his son’s de@th


Supporters of Afrobeat star Davido, known as the 30BG fanbase, have reportedly traced and beaten up a woman who made a highly insensitive remark about the singer’s late son, Ifeanyi, while criticising his new album.
The woman, known as Arike, who identifies as a Wizkid fan, recently mocked the performance of Davido’s 5ive album on X (Twitter).
Quoting a tweet from Charts Africa that praised the album’s position at number 24 on the Worldwide Apple Music Albums chart, she cruelly wrote that the album “sank like his son drowned.”
Her comment sparked widespread outrage online, with many condemning her for her cruelty. Many netizens are still pouring abusive words and curses on her as this is being filed.
However, a 30BG supporter, with eh claimed that Arike was confronted and physically assaulted.
According to the tweet, her phone was seized, and all her Twitter posts were deleted.
He wrote:
“UPDATE‼️ Arike was picked up yesterday and beaten. Her phone was collected, and we made sure everything on her account was deleted. That account no longer exists. I hope others learn from this” .
He attached a screenshot showing Arike’s account with zero posts.
His post has generated mixed reactions. While some hailed him, others condemned him for taking the law into his hands and having the boldness to tweet it.
