Nigerian influencer, Chioma Goodhair, has called out Nigerian performers, labelling them as lazy and urging them to take cues from Tanzanian artist, Juma Jux, husband of Priscilla Ojo.
Her comments followed Juma Jux’s win as Best East African Artist of the Year at the recently concluded Headies Awards.
Taking to Snapchat, Chioma expressed her disappointment with the performance standards of many Nigerian artists, noting a lack of rehearsal and depth in their stage presence.
She wrote:
“I wish Nigerian performers would start putting more effort into their performances like Juma did. I find a lot of their performances lazy and lacklustre. They lack rehearsal and substance — and it’s unfair, considering the love their fans show.”
