Armed bandits have killed the kidnapped Chief Imam of the 1st Jumu’at Central Mosque in Maru, Zamfara State, Malam Salisu Suleiman Liman, along with his two sons.
The victims were abducted during a night raid on Thursday, February 13, 2025, when terrorists stormed Maru town in a violent operation that lasted nearly two hours.
Among those kidnapped were the Imam, his children, a newlywed couple, and several other residents.
The newlyweds, Muhammad Suleiman and his wife, Balkisu, were abducted on the very night of their wedding.
Confirming the tragic incident on Tuesday, April 29, security analyst Bakatsine revealed that the bandits also murdered other members of the Imam’s family.
