Groom, three friends arrested for allegedly killing bride during forced s£x orgy in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old groom, Auwal Abdulwahab, along with three of his friends, over the alleged death of his wife following forced, marathon sexual activity.
According to the police spokesperson, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the incident occurred on Saturday, April 26, 2025, around 10 p.m. in Tungo village, Albasu District, Sule Tankarkar Local Government Area.
Shiisu explained that just days after their wedding, Abdulwahab allegedly conspired with his friends — Nura Basiru, Muttaka Lawan, and Hamisu Musa — to force the bride into a prolonged sexual encounter, during which she tragically lost her life.
The reason for this unusual act of the husband is not known, but preliminary investigations suggest that the bride had resisted engaging in marital relations with her husband prior to the wedding.
The police will explore whether the husband came up with the plot to revenge his wife’s recalcitrance during their courtship or there were other reasons for the act.
The police were tipped off to the demise of the newly wed and police officers rushed to the scene.
They transported the victim’s body to Gumel General Hospital, where a doctor confirmed her de@th.
The remains have since been handed over to her family for burial, while all four suspects have been detained for further investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, has ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Dutse for a thorough investigation.
“Upon conclusion of the investigation, the suspects will be prosecuted accordingly,” Abdullahi stated, adding that they are expected to face charges including criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
