Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has issued a biting, sarcastic apology to Senate President Godswill Akpabio via her social media pages.

The embattled lawmaker, currently locked in a fierce dispute with Akpabio, whom she has accused of sexual harassment, mockingly asked him to forgive the “stubborn woman” who mistakenly believed her Senate seat was secured “through elections, not erections.”

Her “apology” has since gone viral, leaving many Nigerians laughing across social media.

The satirical letter read:

“SATIRICAL APOLOGY LETTER

From the Desk of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan

Dear Distinguished Senate President Godswill Akpabio,

It is with the highest level of sarcasm and the deepest theatrical regret that I offer this apology for the grave sin of maintaining dignity and self-respect in your revered presence. Upon reflection, I see now the grave error of believing that merit, and not personal compliance, was the path to legislative success in certain circles.

How careless of me not to realise that my refusal to entertain your… ‘requests’ was not just a personal boundary, but an apparent breach of the sacred, unwritten constitution of male entitlement. I truly apologise for choosing competence over compliance, vision over vanity, and the people’s mandate over secret dinners behind closed doors.

I now grasp the severity of my actions: legislative progress halted, tempers ignited, and egos—larger than life—bruised beyond repair. For disrupting the sacred tradition of ‘quid pro quo,’ I bow my head in fictional shame.

Please, in your infinite generosity—hidden somewhere deep beneath layers of entitlement—find it within you to forgive this stubborn woman who dared to believe that Senate seats are earned through elections, not erections.

I remain,

Yours in unwavering defiance,

Senator Natasha H. Akpoti-Uduaghan

Unafraid, Unbought, and Unbroken.”
