Shimite Bello d!ed from hypertension, not from domestic violence’, hubby’s friend clarifies

An associate of the husband of the late Shimite Bello, the Special Adviser on Trade and Export to the Delta State Governor, has claimed that Shimite died as a result of complications from hypertension.

In a Facebook post, Olatunde Adekuyle Babalola, claimed his friend, the husband of the late Shimite had been vindicated by the autopsy report.

Following her death, social media was awash with tributes and condolences, alongside rumors alleging that her husband might have been involved in her untimely demise.

The maid of the couple was alleged to have called the deceased’s brother to report that her boss was locked indoors by her husband.

The brother raced to Shimite’s residence to find her unresponsive.

Accusing fingers were subsequently pointed at the husband.

In response, the Delta State Police Command initiated an investigation, detaining her husband amid mounting pressure and threats from her in-laws.

Babalola said his friend was not arrested but was taken into protective custody by the police following the allegations levelled against him and the threat of bodily harm to him by enraged crowd outside the hospital where Shimite was confirmed de@d.

Going down memory lane, Babalola said there were plans for Shimite Bello to run for local government chairman in the 2027 elections before her passing, which destroyed everything and turned her husband to an endangered individual.

Speaking further on the autopsy that allegedly vindicated the husband, Babalola said a senator funded it.

The report allegedly concluded that she died from poorly managed hypertension, leading to severe organ enlargement.

Babalola also claimed that her family moved her remains to an undisclosed location, prompting police involvement.
