Armed bandits reportedly killed a newly married man and abducted his wife during a late-night attack at Akaleku village in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Wednesday, April 23.
The incident, which has left the community in fear and distress, occurred around 11 p.m., according to eyewitness accounts reported by Vanguard.
The victims, identified as Mr. and Mrs. Alu Anzaku, were said to have been attacked by the gunmen less than two weeks after their wedding ceremony on April 12, 2025.
The assailants allegedly shot and killed the husband before whisking his wife away to an unknown destination.
As of the time of this report, the whereabouts of the abducted woman remain unknown, and worried family members and locals are calling for swift action from security agencies to ensure her safe return.
