Two lifeless bodies, one without head, have been found in the Idimu area of Lagos State.

According to Punch, the gruesome killings reportedly took place late Saturday night, but the bodies were not discovered until Sunday morning along Oladun Road.

When the reporter visited the scene, the corpses, lying several meters apart, had drawn a large crowd of shocked residents and passersby.

One of the victims was identified by a resident, Lanre Ajao, as a well-known local man called Baba Oja.

“We woke up to see the bodies. The one without a head hasn’t been identified, but the other is Baba Oja,” Ajao said.

“He was popular here and often seen with some boys chasing flashy cars at the Council bus stop to collect money. Just yesterday, he was controlling traffic for some of them.”

Another resident, Jamiu Raji, suggested the killings were linked to cult violence.

“This wasn’t just a random fight—it looks like a cult attack,” Raji said. “This sort of thing doesn’t happen around here, so everyone was in shock.”

Reports indicate that the bodies remained at the scene for nearly 10 hours before police arrived.

The second victim is believed to be another local resident, though his identity was not known at press time.

One witness, who asked to remain anonymous for safety reasons, claimed that the families of the deceased were allegedly asked to pay money before they were allowed to retrieve the bodies.

Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, were unsuccessful, as calls to his phone went unanswered and messages had yet to receive a response at the time of filing this report.
