MC Oluomo has responded to critics ridiculing his command of English, asserting that while he may not speak the language fluently, he has ensured his children receive the best education.

Speaking at a public event, the former bus conductor-turned-transport union leader recounted his humble beginnings and emphasized that his accomplishments stem from determination and hard work.

In a now-viral video, he said:

“I stayed there and worked hard. I wasn’t educated. They’re mocking me for saying ‘Kundus’ — isn’t my son named Kundus? You went to school, what have you achieved? Let them go and compete with my children.”

He added that his children were raised in comfort and are citizens of both the U.S. and the U.K., thanks to the life he built through sheer grit.

“Whether it’s Kundus or kudos — what’s the difference? What do you want to hear? English isn’t my native language. Yoruba is,” he said, making it clear that his legacy is measured not by grammar but by the opportunities he’s created for his family.
