Tragedy struck in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State as a businessman and a young woman were discovered d3ad in a residential apartment.
The lifeless, nak3d bodies of the duo were reportedly found in the man’s room on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Kogi State Police Command spokesperson, SP William Aya, confirmed the incident on Saturday.
He identified the deceased as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both natives of Ankpa. Blessing was a student at the Kogi State College of Education.
SP Aya described the case as “sudden and unnatural,” adding that an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of d3ath.
According to him, “One Salisu Ibrahim from Alo in Ankpa reported to the police around 12 pm that his tenant, Sheriff Salifu, had not emerged from his room as usual by 9:31 am.”
He further revealed that Sheriff’s brother accessed the room through the ceiling, where he found both Sheriff and Blessing lying lifeless and unclothed.
“The Divisional Police Officer in Ankpa dispatched detectives to the scene. The bodies were photographed and transported to the Zonal Hospital in Ankpa, where they were confirmed d3ad,” he said.
The remains were taken for autopsy, but Sheriff’s family requested his body be released for burial.
He has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites, while Blessing’s body remains in the mortuary.
