The fresher who hanged himself at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Ghana, over his girlfriend’s infidelity allegedly video-called his friend while committing the act.
Recall that Khon Void took his own life on Wednesday, a day after walking in on another student sleeping with his girlfriend in her room at GUSSS Hall Two, a hostel on the institution’s campus.
The shock of the discovery reportedly made Void collapse at the scene and was helped to his own room at GUSS Hall One.
He hanged himself in his room the following day.
Pictures emerging after his death showed that he Facetimed his two friends at the time of committing the act.
One of the images shows Void putting a blue sponge around his neck and tying it to the ceiling fan.
The image also shows two wide-eyed men with mouths wide open in apparent surprise at what they were seeing.
It is not known if they made any attempt to alert the authorities at the time.
The Winneba Police have taken custody of the body as investigations continue into the incident.
