Popular liquor vendor slumps, dies while attending to customers in Ondo

Tragedy struck in Oro town, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, as a well-known liquor vendor, Orobola Akinduro, suddenly slumped and died while serving customers at her joint.
Eyewitnesses said Akinduro, who had appeared healthy earlier in the day and was actively attending to patrons, collapsed unexpectedly during business hours.
She was immediately rushed to a traditional herbalist in Otasan, a nearby community close to Ile-Oluji in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area, in a desperate attempt to save her life.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead upon arrival by the herbal practitioner. Her body was later taken by her family to the morgue at the Ondo State Specialist Hospital in Ondo town.
The shocking news sent waves of grief throughout the community, where the deceased was well-loved and known for her lively presence at the liquor joint.
A source close to the family told Hope Newspaper that the deceased may have suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away before help could reach her.
Funeral arrangements are currently underway, and the family is expected to announce a burial date soon.
