A three-story building under construction at 4 Agarawu Street, Lagos Island, collapsed this afternoon, Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Emergency responders successfully rescued two individuals trapped beneath the debris and transported them to a hospital for treatment.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that no fatalities occurred. Spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin stated that the area has been secured and that relevant agencies will investigate the cause of the collapse.
This incident follows a similar building collapse in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State last month.
