Dr. Abdulraif Adekunle Adeniji, the Director of Administration at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been tragically killed by kidnappers despite a ransom payment of N90 million.
Reports indicate that Dr. Adeniji was abducted on January 26, 2025, by armed men wielding AK-47 rifles in the Chikakore area of Kubwa, located in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while visiting his brother.
During the abduction, the gunmen also took his wife and brother.
Sadly, his wife was allegedly shot dead for not keeping pace with pace with the attackers and their victims.
In a statement issued on April 9, APC’s Deputy Director of Administration, Ubagha Abel, announced the closure of the party’s National Secretariat until Monday, April 14, 2025, in honour of Dr. Adeniji.
“The National Secretary has directed the suspension of all party operations during this mourning period,” Abel stated.
“We encourage staff to observe this time for reflection and prayers for the deceased’s family. All party flags are to be flown at half-mast until the end of the mourning period.”
