Two lives were lost in a lone bus accident that occurred near the Total filling station, just before the Emergency Point heading towards the scrapped Tollgate, Ojota, Lagos, this morning, Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed that the victims’ bodies had been taken to the hospital.
The agency also noted that its officers were actively managing the situation as the resulting traffic congestion had stretched as far back as the Secretariat.
In a related update, LASTMA reported a separate incident involving a fallen high-tension wire on the Eko Bridge main carriageway.
This disrupted traffic flow, forcing motorists connecting from Eko Bridge to Alaka and onward to Costain to seek alternative routes.
