A popular Ondo-based transporter, Muihili Adebayo, has been abducted by armed bandits who k1lled his son and injured his wife during the attack at their residence in the Shagari area of Owo Local Government Area on Wednesday, April 2.
Adebayo, who operates the Akure-Lagos route, was reportedly ambushed and taken away by the gunmen while his wife was shot by the bandits when she resisted.
She managed to escape and was rushed to the hospital by sympathisers. She has been in coma since then.
“She is currently recovering in a private hospital, but the boy d!ed on the spot. The mother sustained a bullet wound to her hand but managed to escape” a family source said.
Official information from the police on the incident was not forthcoming at the time of filing this report.
