
The Toronto Police Service has announced that a Nigerian man residing in Canada, identified as Omotayo, has been declared missing.
The 32-year-old was last seen on March 25, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
A statement released by the Toronto Police Service on Friday and obtained by the Punch on Monday called on the public to assist in locating Omotayo.
The statement read, “Omotayo, 32, was last seen on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in the Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street East area of Oakville.
“Omotayo is described as 6’0” tall, weighing between 160-170 lbs, with a slim build and short black hair.
“He was last seen wearing a tan ‘Essentials’ hoodie, black Nike track pants, tan Yeezy slides, and black-framed glasses. Police are concerned for his safety.”
Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward through available reporting channels.
Individuals with information are encouraged “to contact the police at 416-808-4200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or via www.222tips.com.”
As of Monday, Omotayo’s location remained unknown.
This case follows a similar incident involving a missing 34-year-old Nigerian man, Oluwaseun Adedeji, which ended in tragedy when his body was recovered from Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada.
Adedeji’s remains were reportedly retrieved by the Underwater Recovery Team.
