Renowned Ghanaian academic, Professor Ernest Asare Bediako, has sparked widespread debate after revealing that he has abstained from sexual relations for the past 17 years.
The former lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Education, Winneba, also disclosed that female students deliberately exposed their bodies to male lecturers in class.
The don made this disclosure during an interview on Afisem with MFK on Lawson FM.
During the conversation, Professor Bediako dismissed allegations that university lecturers frequently engage in inappropriate relationships with female students.
Instead, he claimed that it is some female students who intentionally dress provocatively in an attempt to seduce their lecturers.
Recalling an incident from his teaching days, the professor recounted how he once had to dismiss three female students from his class after noticing that they were dressed indecently and were not wearing underwear.
“I had to send them out and warn them never to attend my lessons dressed like that again,” he stated.
Addressing rumours about his personal life, the professor firmly denied ever engaging in inappropriate relationships with students, stating emphatically, “I have not slept with a woman in 17 years.”
Update

In a follow-up interview, the host confronted him with this information and he admitted he was never a lecturer at KNUST.
