British Airways crew member arrested for ‘r@ping stewardess after night out in between flights’

A British Airways crew member has allegedly been arrested in Singapore after he was accused of r@ping a female colleague.

Mail Online reported that the man, whose name was not revealed, was locked up last night after being accused of attacking the woman following a night out between flights.

Two female BA staff members have since been flown back home following the recent incident, according to reports.

Top BA officials have also flown to Singapore to liaise with authorities there, and the arrested crew member, who is currently behind bars.

The Sun quoted a source saying: ‘Everyone is numb. The r@pe accused steward has flown with BA for years.

‘The case is under the jurisdiction of Singapore authorities and proving a major headache for aviation chiefs.’

Singapore is very strict about rape. Anyone found guilty of r@ping a victim over the age of 14 in Singapore faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years and will also be liable to a fine or caning.
