‘There’s nothing more painful’, Lady laments not being promoted to wife by sugar daddy after his divorce
A young Kenyan woman, Lishan Kairetu, has opened up about the emotional toll of remaining a “side chick” after her sugar daddy divorced his wife.
‘There is nothing more painful”, Kairetu declared in a candid video shared on her Instagram page.
“People talk about heartbreak and how painful it is, but that doesn’t even compare,” she said.
Kairetu explained that the real pain comes from expecting to be “promoted” to the main partner when the man’s relationship ends — only to be overlooked.
“Have you ever been someone’s side chick, and then they break up with the main chick? You think you’re going to be promoted, but you’re not. That one hurts,” she shared.
She revealed that the experience was so unbearable that she chose to leave the relationship, unable to accept the possibility of another woman becoming the main partner while she remained on the sidelines.
Using a political analogy, Kairetu humorously described her dilemma: “Imagine there being two presidents while you’re just the deputy. I couldn’t take it.”
Although she admitted to exaggerating some aspects for comedic effect, Kairetu’s story has sparked mixed reactions online. Some have sympathized with her, while others have criticized her perspective.
