The family of Felix Echezona has announced burial arrangements following his tragic death in Brazil.
Echezona was shot and killed in Rio de Janeiro on January 12, 2025.
His remains have since been repatriated to Nigeria and are currently at Bishop Shanahan Hospital Mortuary in Nsukka.
According to the announcement made by his family, he will be laid to rest in his hometown, Umuida community in Enugu Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
A Requiem Mass will be held in his honor at St. Theresa’s Catholic Parish, Umuoshene, Umuida, before the burial.
