Nollywood actor, Baba Tee admits to sleeping with colleague, Lande’s wife

Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a “short” sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker, Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Ijoba Lande.

Baba Tee made the revelation during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, retracting his earlier denial and threats of legal action against Lande for defamation.

Lande had previously claimed in an interview that his wife left him after he discovered her alleged infidelity, alleging that at least 21 men in the entertainment industry had been involved with her.

Among those he mentioned was Baba Tee.

Initially, Baba Tee denied any involvement with Lande’s wife, stating that he had only met her once through actress Marygold.

However, in a surprising turn, the 45-year-old actor admitted to the affair, claiming it happened while playing a ‘Truth or Dare’ game with Dara and Marygold under the influence of alcohol.

He explained, “Marygold and Dara visited my house. Marygold told me she wanted me to be the MC for an upcoming event. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife.

It was during a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ that things escalated. Marygold went completely naked, and they kept daring me instead of asking questions. Eventually, Marygold dared Dara to have a ‘quick’ sexual encounter with me, and she agreed.”

Baba Tee claimed he was unaware of Dara’s marital status at the time and only realized later that he had been set up.

“I will not deny that I had a short encounter with her. This is the first time I am admitting it. I now understand that it was a plan to malign my reputation.”

Following the revelation, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande, as his earlier denial and legal threats had made the situation worse.

Shortly after the interview, Baba Tee took to his official Facebook page to apologize, writing, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”

Marygold, who is the embattled manager of Ijoba Lande, was also accused of recording the incident between Baba Tee and Dara.
