Musician Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy and Area Fada, has incurred the wrath of X users after he derided the late politician, Doyin Okupe, in a terse tribute to him on the microblogging platform.
The controversial musician who is his seventies took to X to pay a tribute to the late Okupe, but included a snide remark which seemed to mock the late politician.
He wrote:
“May you rest in peace, as a restless soul you need am.
I wish you had waited a while to see how Peter Obi go take waka for 2027.
We are not suppose to yab people who have passed on, but bro, ur own been too much. I can’t lie.
Anyway, Rest In Peace regardless.
I come in peace.”
While some supported his tweet, so many others found it offensive and they vented their spleen in the comments section.
