Chinagorom Lucy Eze, who was recently found r@ped and k!lled by unknown assailants in her apartment in Asaba, Delta State has been laid to rest.
The body of the hapless lady was taken to her father’s compound in Asaba on Friday 28th February 2025 and buried.
It would be recalled that Chinagorom was found d3ad in her apartment on January 5, 2025 after being declared missing.
Reports indicated that the men came into her room through the roof, r@ped, tortured and k!lled her.
The graduate of Biochemistry of the Michael Okpara University had been mobilized for the January 2025 batch NYSC before her untimely d3ath.
According to Human rights activist and Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and Youth Mobilisation to the Delta State Governor, Harrison Gwamnishu, Chinagorom’s body was discovered by her colleague.
He said the deceased was absent from work without communication and the management of her workplace sent someone to her residence to find out about her absence.
Upon arriving at her apartment, the colleague found the door locked, which prompted the co-worker to peep through the window.
She then raised an alarm drawing the attention of residents to the scene.
“Upon investigation, it was discovered that there were marks on her body, her finger was cut with a knife and her hair was scattered on the floor which showed that she struggled,” Gwamnishu stated.
