Seaking was arrested for defaming Pastor Adeboye – Sowore


Activist and former Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has claimed that Tiktoker, Seaking, was re-arrested in Lagos on Thursday, February 6 and flown to Abuja over his defamatory comments against the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Sowore shared a statement on his Facebook page, where he claimed to have just visited the FCID with lawyer Deji Adeyanju.
He said they both learnt that Seaking’s latest ordeal was related to an incident of cyberbullying against Adeboye.
The FID reportedly received a petition from one Paul James Adama on behalf of Adeboye.
“We just departed the DIG Dasuki Galandanchi-led Federal Investigation Department (FID) of the Nigeria Police Force, where we met Olumide Ogunsanwo aka SEAKING, he was in the company of police officers who had travelled to Lagos to kidnap him. Adeyanju Deji and Marshal D F Abubakar we present as lawyers representing @Seaking and standing for @inibehe Effiong!”
He said the offending video was posted by Seaking on his TikTok page in December of 2024.
According to them, one Paul James Adama, Adejobi Olumuyiwaebulous “Christian association or group” affiliated with Police PPRO Adejobi Olumuyiwa submitted a “petition” to their office on behalf of the General Overseer.
In the video posted by Seaking, he verbally assaulted Adeboye for wearing appearing in a ceremonial military uniform in a picture to promote the church’s convention last August with the theme “Onward Christian Soldier”.
