Medical doctor speaks

A civil servant, Eugenia Sanda, ran into a Twitter storm after claiming that a woman lost her private parts at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja on Monday.
While some accepted the claim, many others attacked the lady for spreading baseless superstition.
The civil servant with the handle, @SandaEugenia, wrote:
“A woman’s vagina got stolen this afternoon in my office, federal secretariat, Abuja. The thief has been caught and arrested, the victim taken to the hospital. We are just here seeing wonders in this town. I’m scared. God abeg😫😫”
In a follow-up tweet, she wrote: “There’s a police station inside secretariat, the victim was taken there and examined by two policewomen who said a finger couldn’t penetrate her because the place has been blocked. The culprit admitted to the crime.”
Netizens reacted instantly:
@seunosewa: “Will you people stop this nonsense?
@jbanj: “Walahi if Ben Hundeyin no arrest you I go unfollow am”
@Chileemanya: “Wtf is this?”
@abijf1: “Were you there when the policewomen made the claim?”
@ThatEnuguDude: “What do you mean by “finger couldn’t penetrate her”? Were they tryna deflower her or what? This gist dey one kyn o.”
@oluwatonyLekwa: “Una dey cook rubbish for this space”
@fwiyanu: “Did the culprit nau return the toto?”
However, a medical doctor has provided some illumination on the matter. According to him, it is all psychological.
He called the condition KORO

“Can we talk about KORO. To a great extent, it will explain all the missing Vaginas and Penises in Lokoja, Ilorin, Abuja, etc
Here is a Quick summarized read on what the medical Condition ‘KORO’ is
Here.
So KORO is a Psychological condition in which the person believes that their genitals are shrinking or disappearing.
Usually, the person believes their sexual organs are vanishing and it becomes so bad that it can cause severe anxiety or even depression to the person.
Usually, it is related to Culture or a particular group of people (culture-bound) especially people who are open to believing in Sexual related myths
In men, they could believe their penis is disappearing. Women can even perceive their breasts are vanishing.
If you look at the news of disappearing vaginas and penises…they seem to come from a similar region and culture which perpetuates it and can blame it on people who end up accepting they are responsible.”
