Residents of Okigwe, Imo State have alleged that soldiers have overrun the community in a brutal operation.
They alleged that markets, residential buildings and property of the residents have been burnt by the military men in Okigwe, particularly Ihube.
The reason for the latest military onslaught on the community is still unclear but some reports suggest it is connected to a recent abduction of a lieutenant in the community.
Other sources link the operation to some recent brutal attacks on military units in the area by secessionist militiamen.
A clip of the operation circulating online shows at least a dead body lying on the road and some soldiers torturing a man.
