FUTA students buy energy drink for miscreant so he can withstand beating for extortion (Photo, Video)

A man identified as Tallest was beaten within an inch of his life by irate students who allegedly caught him robbing and extorting students of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA).

The students recently protested against hoodlums who waylay them and extort money and other valuables from them.

They made a digital “Wanted’ poster of three men they identified as notorious for perpetrating the act and circulated it among themselves (see above). Tallest is the one in the middle.

Luck ran out on Tallest on Tuesday night as he was reportedly caught in the act and the students descended on him.

At some point, they bought energy drink for him and waited for him to consume it before resuming his beating.

Afterwards, they asked him to pose for the camera before handing him over to Amotekun operatives.

The man could not be recognized after the beating.

”Recently we went on a protest cause of some guys extorting and stealing from students. Tonight they caught one of them and see what they did to him. They bought him energy drink so they can beat him again. Futa students ain’t playing” a student who witnessed the incident wrote.
